We are made up of a team of highly qualified and experienced personnel in the legal field.

Candia Emmanuel

LLM (UCU), LLB (UCU), Dip. LP (LDC) Kampala

An Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and subordinate courts thereto and has been the Managing Partner at Candia Advocates and Legal Consultants since its inception. He holds a Masters in International Business Law.

He has a great interest in commercial law practice and civil litigation. He is keenly interested in E-Commerce, ICTs, Regional, Economic, Political integration policy and the Law, corporate practice, contracts, acquisitions and mergers, financing, mortgages, securities and risk management issues.  He has advised on cross-border trade and investment in infrastructure for international clientele within the East African region; Candia rigorously involves in commercial and civil litigation and arbitration of disputes. He also advises different Boards of Directors of corporations and NGOs.

Candia is a Board Member of Uganda Christian Lawyer’s fraternity a Christian Professional Organization focused on offering legal aid services for the indigent in Uganda and Boards of other Organization promoting democracy, development and economic growth of local communities.

He is an advocate for rights of PWD’s focusing on accessibility and creating an inclusive society.

Mindreru Hope Sarah

MBA (UCU), LLB (UCU), Dip. LP (LDC) Kampala

She is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and subordinate courts thereto and a Partner at CALC. 
Previously, she worked as a Legal Associate and as an Advocate at M/s Mungoma, Mabonga, Wakhakha & Company Advocates vigorously involving and working mainly as a transactional practitioner in the areas of land and property acquisitions, securities, mortgages, debentures, bonds and investment financing for development of various institutions infrastructure.

Mindreru has spent the bulk of her time and skills engaging in conveyance and property law in Uganda and the East African Region especially in Kenya and Tanzania; corporate financing and with a keen eye on corporate governance.

With her bias for corporate financing and governance, she has consulted closely on SME’s financing, taxes for SME’s, and investment financing. Earlier, she lectured Business Law at the Uganda Institute of Computer Technology.

She has and continues to advise on investment portfolios in the Minerals and Mining Industry in Uganda focused on processes in acquisitions, licenses, due diligence, brokering mining deals.
